Description
East Quad Dining achieved platinum certification in 2015 and has been re-certified. Nearly 90% of staff are Planet Blue Ambassadors. They have eliminated trash cans for customers since they compost nearly everything using a pulper/extractor in the dish room. The chefs buy produce from local farmers including the U-M Campus Farm. Staff carpool for events held off-campus. The dining hall has a vertical garden to educate staff and students. The team reuses paper for the printer/copier.
