Originally certified as platinum in 2015, North Quad Dining has recertified at the platinum. Over 70% of staff are certified Planet Blue Ambassadors. Energy is managed with timers on the lights. The department reduces food waste by working with Food Gathers and Maize and Blue cupboard to take left over food for food insecurity programs. They prioritize local and sustainable food. Staff are encouraged to bike on campus. Sustainable Mondays and Marketing material are used to educate customers.
